Case IH has appointed three new dealers to represent the brand: Balgownie Ltd (Inverurie and Turiff, Aberdeenshire); Mark Garrick Ltd (Birnie, Elgin, Morayshire); and Everitt & Marshall (Hexham, Northumberland).

Balgownie Ltd, which represents Case IH in Aberdeenshire, has supplied goods and machinery to farmers and local businesses since 1907, with the current directors having been at the helm for 35 years. With customers throughout the North of Scotland the company operates two branches, with purpose-built dealership facilities on the Thainstone Business Park, Inverurie and the Markethill Industrial Estate in Turriff.

A well-resourced, modern agricultural machinery dealership, Balgownie Ltd has made a large investment in the Case IH franchise and recruited new staff to support owners with a full sales, service and parts back-up service. This well-known and long established business has an excellent reputation which fits in well with the existing Case IH network, and provides customers in Aberdeenshire with first-class sales and service facilities.

“We’re delighted to be working with Case IH,” managing director Mike Singer said. “In this area we’ve a strong base of farmers who understand the value of investing in new technology, so knowledgeable dealers with the right advice and products play an important role.”

Mark Garrick Ltd, based at Brookfield, Birnie near Elgin, was founded in 2000 by agricultural engineer Mark Garrick. The company, which currently employs six staff, provides sales and service facilities in an area from Morayshire across to Inverness and the Black Isle.

“Our business has been built up on excellent customer service,” Mr Garrick said. “The decision to go forward with Case IH enables us to increase our business portfolio and offer a wide range of products that will appeal to our diverse range of customers, from highly-specialised arable farms producing high-value crops such as potatoes and carrots using the latest techologies, to traditional mixed and livestock farms.”

Everitt & Marshall Ltd was established in 1978 by Matty Everitt and Raymond Marshall, who worked for a local Case dealer before setting up their own business. The dealership, which has been based in purpose-built premises on the Haugh Lane Industrial Estate in Hexham since 1982, is still very much a family business. Now under managing director Adrian Everitt, the son of the founder, and his sister Shona, an equal partner who works in the accounts department, the company will represent Case IH throughout the Tyne Valley.

Providing a full range of services to customers in Northumberland, County Durham and across to the Cumbrian Border, the company employs 10 staff and operates a service department staffed by factory-trained technicians with access to the latest diagnostic equipment.

For Adrian Everitt, taking on the Case IH franchise is a significant development for the business and its customers. Despite having only “gone live” with the new brand on January 9, Everitt & Marshall has already sold two new Case IH tractors.

“We see a great future for Case IH, which offers a wide range of premium products that equal or exceed anything else on the market in terms of technology, performance and value,” Mr Everitt said. “Our customers have been very supportive of the change to Case IH, many share our enthusiasm for the brand and I have no doubt that we will encourage others to switch from other brands.”
