Pöttinger has introduced a new generation of SYNKRO mounted stubble cultivators aimed at farms looking for one machine to handle a wide range of reduced-tillage jobs. The range covers 2-gang rigid models in 2.5 m and 3 m working widths, plus 3-gang rigid or folding models from 3 m to 5 m.
The cultivators are designed for stubble cultivation, autumn primary tillage, seedbed preparation ahead of mulch drilling and the destruction of cover crops. For growers working across varied ground, the rigid versions can now be specified with depth wheels to help keep the machine working evenly on rough or undulating fields.
A key change is that the rear roller can be removed from both rigid and folding models when needed. This allows the soil to be left loose and unconsolidated, which can be useful for autumn cultivations, non-plough systems and situations where keeping organic matter on the surface helps reduce erosion risk.
On the folding SYNKRO V models, optional parking stands allow the machine to be stored safely in the folded position, helping save yard space. Pöttinger says the symmetrical tine layout is designed to prevent side pull and improve levelling across the full working width.
Farmer-focused updates
The NOVA mechanical stone protection system has also been updated. It uses horizontal springs with a 550 kg triggering pressure and is now maintenance-free. Levelling tools on the SYNKRO V can be adjusted centrally and are fitted with overload protection across the range.
With adjustable settings, a choice of tillage tools and multiple equipment options, the new SYNKRO range gives farmers the flexibility to match the cultivator to soil type, field conditions and the job in hand. Pöttinger says the range is suitable for small family farms, larger arable businesses and machinery rings.
