Frontier Agriculture and Aberdeen Grain are pleased to confirm the successful completion of Frontier Agriculture’s purchase of the Aberdeen Grain storage facility at Whiterashes, following completion of due diligence and approval by Aberdeen Grain members.
The agreement secures the long-term future of the Whiterashes facility, providing continuity for growers, customers and employees and maintaining important grain handling capability in the region.
The acquisition strengthens grain handling capability in Scotland, helping provide growers and customers across the region with resilient infrastructure, expertise and support for the long term.
Growers will continue to access the Whiterashes facility, with grain handling, customer service and support continuing throughout the transition. Frontier and Aberdeen Grain will work closely with growers to ensure a smooth transfer to the new arrangements.
Employees transferring to Frontier have joined the business under TUPE arrangements, ensuring continuity of expertise, knowledge and service.

Following completion of the transaction, Aberdeen Grain will now progress through the appropriate Member Voluntary Liquidation process, the standard legal process for a member-owned co-operative following completion of this type of transaction.
