Pottinger has introduced a new arrival to the Servo family, the 45S which the company describes as strong, reliable and a robust all-rounder, available as a 6-furrow NOVA or NOVA PLUS version, it powers up to 350 hp.
On the NOVA version a frame pivoting cylinder comes as standard, while the NOVA PLUS version is supplied with a furrow width memory cylinder. With an inter-body spacing of 95 cm, an under beam clearance of 80 cm and the long, full-length main plough beam bearing that carries the main beam tube, Pottinger state that all requirements for tough applications are met in full. The use of high tensile materials enables higher driving speeds and a longer service life. The 6-furrow version is also fitted with double bearings on the mounting axle (Cat III/ width III), as standard.
The Servomatic control centre allows the plough to be quickly matched to the tractor and the leading body furrow width and pulling point can be adjusted individually without affecting each other.
The “Traction” expansion module makes it possible to transfer weight from the plough to the tractor. Transmitting force through the traction system optimises the ground tracking of the plough at the same time as applying a permanent load to the rear wheels of the tractor. This reduces wheel slip and prevents harmful smearing of the soil surface caused by the rear wheels.
