CLAAS has expanded its ARION 6 CMATIC range with two new models designed to deliver greater efficiency during cultivation, drilling and heavy draft operations, while reducing operator fatigue through increased automation.
The introduction of the 145hp ARION 6.140 CMATIC and 165hp ARION 6.160 CMATIC completes the manufacturer’s compact six-cylinder CVT line-up, joining the existing 205hp ARION 6.190 CMATIC.
Central to the new range is adaptive drivetrain management featuring AUTO LOAD ANTICIPATION, a system developed to improve performance during cultivation. Rather than reacting once draft loads increase, the tractor anticipates load changes as implements enter the soil, automatically increasing engine speed and adjusting transmission ratios before the tractor begins to labour.
The technology, first introduced on the AXION 9 and recognised with a Silver Innovation Award at Agritechnica 2025, is designed to maintain forward speed, improve traction and reduce unnecessary fuel consumption during changing field conditions.
CLAAS says the tractors’ long wheelbase and balanced weight distribution further enhance draft performance, allowing power to be transferred efficiently to the ground while maintaining stability with heavy cultivation equipment and seed drills.
The tractors can also be specified with CEMOS DIALOG, the manufacturer’s self-learning operator assistance system, which advises on ballast, tyre pressures and operating settings to improve work rates and overall field efficiency.
Operator comfort has received equal attention. A fully suspended cab, PROACTIV front axle suspension, optional dynamic steering and a new massage seat aim to reduce fatigue during long cultivation and drilling campaigns.
Precision guidance is handled by the CEMIS 1200 terminal, with new Auto RefLine technology automatically selecting the correct guidance line when moving between tramlines, headlands and irregular field shapes. Together with CLAAS connect, operators can transfer guidance lines, field data and documentation seamlessly between machines.
For growers seeking a versatile six-cylinder tractor capable of tackling demanding establishment work, the expanded ARION 6 CMATIC range combines proven mechanical performance with increasingly sophisticated automation.
