The AgriFood Advanced Training Partnership (AATP) has partnered with Askham Bryan College to facilitate three days of training workshops covering Soil and Water Management, an area which has become recognised as fundamental to ensuring food security and mitigating climate change.
Individual workshops include:
1 November – concepts and management of soil health
2 November – soil and water management
3 November – organic amendment management of soils
The aim of these three workshops, which run between 1-3 Nov 2016, is to share with delegates, leading edge research and best practice within the areas of agriculture, agronomy and farming practice that play an important part in the trends and developments influencing content of undergraduate and further education courses taught by Further Education Colleges. The workshops will inform attendees of new technologies and trends that will influence the agricultural and land based sector in the next 5-10 years.
The AgriFood ATP combines the knowledge and expertise of four of the UK’s leading research organisations and universities in the areas of agriculture, animal health and management, soil and water management, food science and technology and business skills. The AATP partners are the University of Nottingham, Cranfield University, Harper Adams University and Rothamsted Research.
