Case IH has unveiled a series of upgrades across its baler portfolio for Model Year 2027, with developments aimed at improving forage quality, supporting efficient crop handling and reducing environmental impact.
The revised LB4 and LB6 large square balers feature a new Rotor Feeder option designed to deliver a more even crop flow into the machine. According to Case IH, the system helps maintain throughput while supporting consistent bale formation across varying crop conditions.
The Rotor Cutter specification has also been enhanced and is now available with up to 57 knives. The expanded knife configuration offers greater flexibility in chop length, enabling operators to tailor bale characteristics to livestock, bedding and biomass requirements. Easier knife access and simplified adjustment are intended to minimise maintenance interruptions during busy harvesting periods.
For round baler users, the RB6 and RB6 HD Pro ranges receive structural enhancements intended to improve durability and maintain consistent bale density. Optimised crop-flow components on the HD Pro models are designed to support reliable performance when handling high volumes of forage and straw.
One of the most notable introductions is Nature’s Net Wrap, a compostable alternative to conventional plastic netting available on RB6 and RB6 HD Pro balers. Produced from plant-based materials, the wrap is designed to provide comparable bale integrity while reducing the need for plastic collection and disposal.
The development reflects growing interest in sustainable crop packaging solutions as farms seek to reduce waste streams and improve environmental performance.
Case IH has also expanded automation and data management capabilities through Tractor and Baler Automation and enhanced FieldOps connectivity, helping operators monitor performance and manage bale logistics more efficiently.
The manufacturer says the updated machines are designed to help producers maintain productivity while adapting to changing agronomic, economic and environmental demands.
