High amounts of straw and lush catch crop populations require a machine with high clearance. This is where the Joker CT can score due to its design with 2 discs per Coulter arm and prove its immunity to malfunctions.
Due to the solid design and the simple handling, it is very popular among customers.Horsch claim the machine is highly efficient as high operational speeds up to 20 km/h are possible. The hectare output, too, is very high whereas the horsepower requirement is low.
Within the scope of the update the new Joker CT was equipped with the new disc holders with optimised disc angle that have already been introduced successfully in the Joker RT. Thus, the surface quality of the cultivation can be improved further and a very even work result can be achieved. In addition, the slight inclination of the disc guarantees that the capillaries are broken over the whole working width when working shallowly. This reduces traction and, in dry years, saves available water.
Other details of the Joker CT update are the new edge disc to maintain a precise contact to the previous track especially on the headlands and on field borders and an additional weight for the middle frame than can easily be mounted and dismantled to be able to apply optimum ballast to the machine in heavy, dry conditions.
The Joker CT is also available as a liquid manure version which might be interesting for contractors particularly with 6 and 7 m working width. Depth control is only carried out via the front support wheels and the machine is not equipped with a packer. Due to its low empty weight and the extremely stable frame construction the Joker CT is ideal for being attached to trailed liquid manure barrels or self-propelled vehicles. The open design of the disc section as well as driving without a packer allow for working without cloggings even with high application rates and in wet conditions.
