Updated Standard Wheelbase Tractors Unveiled

New Holland has refreshed its T7 Standard Wheelbase (SWB) range, bringing several upgrades aimed at improving efficiency, comfort, and manoeuvrability for farmers operating in the 180–225hp sector.

One of the most notable changes is a new front axle design. Available in both standard and heavy-duty versions, it features dual accumulators for a smoother ride and faster response. A roll control function adds stability during transport. Combined with a redesigned bonnet and axle support, the upgrade reduces the turning circle by 17%, from 14.3m to 11.4m, helping with headland turns in tight fields.

Under the hood, the tractors carry a Stage V 6.7-litre FPT NEF engine. Maximum power is now reached at a lower 1,500rpm, cutting fuel use and noise. Service intervals have been extended to 750 hours, while larger diesel and AdBlue tanks (350L and 48L respectively) support longer working days. Engine Power Management provides up to 25% additional output for transport, PTO and hydraulic tasks.

Transmission options have also been broadened. Farmers can choose between the new Auto Command™ continuously variable transmission (CVT), Dynamic Command™ semi-powershift, or Range Command™ semi-powershift, depending on the model and workload. The T7.225 with Dynamic Command™ recently achieved a best-in-class result in the DLG PowerMix fuel efficiency test, consuming just 243g/kWh.

Inside the cab, operator comfort has been a strong focus. The new Horizon™ cab is more spacious, with improved climate control, upgraded materials, and extra storage. Three roof options and different suspension systems (mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic) are available. The new SideWinder™ armrest puts key controls within easy reach, with customisable layouts ranging from simple mechanical levers to an IntelliView™ 12 touchscreen and electronic remotes.

Practical touches include integrated steps and handles built into the fuel tank, a five-litre hand-wash tank, and multiple LED lighting packages. At the rear, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic connections have been repositioned for easier access, and a new pick-up hitch design improves implement attachment.

Technology is another area of progress. All models support ISOBUS Class 2 or 3 for implement management and can be equipped with Tractor Implement Management (TIM). Connectivity is included as standard, enabling data-driven efficiency improvements and remote dealer support.

With greater payload capacity (up to 5.5t) and a permissible gross vehicle weight of 13.5t, the new T7 SWB tractors are positioned among the leaders in their class, offering a blend of power, precision and operator-focused design.
